About Kartzo
What is Kartzo?
Kartzo is a QR insert card and a mobile page for online sellers. You put the card in your package; the buyer scans it and, in about 30 seconds, registers their product, watches your setup video, optionally claims a free gift and joins your email list. You see every registration, email and piece of feedback in one dashboard.
Who is Kartzo for?
Brands that sell physical products on Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, Walmart, eBay or their own website, from a single product to a whole catalog. It was built by an Amazon seller for his own brand first.
How is Kartzo different from a regular thank-you card?
A printed card is a dead end: you never know who read it. A Kartzo card turns the buyer into a known customer: you get their product, order number (if you ask), email (if they agree) and private feedback, and you can help them before a problem turns into a return or a bad review.
Do buyers need to download an app?
No. They point their phone camera at the QR code and a fast web page opens. Nothing to install, no account to create.
What does the buyer see after scanning?
The same short flow for everyone: welcome, register the product, free gift (if you offer one), setup video (optional), a quick private feedback question (optional) and a thank-you screen. You choose the words, the gift and which fields to ask in the Funnel tab, and you can preview it live on a phone mock-up.
Amazon rules and compliance
Are package inserts allowed on Amazon?
Yes. Amazon allows sellers to include inserts such as thank-you notes, care and setup instructions and warranty information. What Amazon forbids is using an insert to manipulate reviews: asking for positive reviews, offering anything in exchange for a review, asking buyers to change or remove a review, or only inviting happy customers to review. See our Amazon insert rules guide.
Can my insert card offer a free gift?
A gift for registering your product is a different thing from a gift for a review. Kartzo is built so the gift never depends on a review: every buyer who registers gets the same offer, before any review question, whatever they think of the product. Never write "review us and get a gift" on the card. Read Free gift insert cards: do it the right way.
Can I put a QR code on an Amazon insert?
QR codes are common on inserts for setup videos, product registration and warranty pages. Amazon does not want inserts used to pull buyers away to shop elsewhere, so keep the page about registration, help and warranty, not about selling. Kartzo pages never sell anything or show discount codes for other stores. If you are unsure about your own case, ask Amazon Seller Support before printing a large batch.
Does Kartzo ask buyers for 5-star reviews?
Never. Kartzo never asks for a rating, never mentions stars and never treats a happy buyer differently from an unhappy one. At the end of the flow, every buyer sees the same neutral invitation: "Other shoppers rely on honest reviews, good or bad. It's completely up to you."
What is review gating, and does Kartzo do it?
Review gating means asking buyers how they feel first, then only sending the happy ones to leave a review (and sending unhappy ones to support instead). Amazon prohibits it, and the FTC's 2024 rule on reviews also targets review suppression. Some insert tools are built around gating. Kartzo is not: the review invitation is identical for everyone, and unhappy buyers get help and the same invitation.
Is Kartzo affiliated with Amazon?
No. Kartzo is an independent product by Maison B And B LLC and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, Walmart or eBay.
What does the Amazon connection do?
When you connect your Amazon seller account, Kartzo can check that an order number a buyer types is a real order of yours (stops fake gift claims), press Amazon's own "Request a Review" button for every shipped order automatically, and count units sold so you know what share of buyers scan your card. It reads order numbers, products and quantities only, never buyer names or addresses. This feature is rolling out as Amazon approves our developer access.
Gifts, warranties and digital bonuses
What kind of gifts can I offer?
A physical product you ship (with sizes or colours if needed), or a digital bonus shown on screen right away: an ebook, a video course, a recipe pack, an extended-warranty page. You can offer one or let buyers choose among several.
How do I ship physical gifts?
Three ways: export the list and ship by hand, connect your Shopify store so each claim becomes a $0 order you fulfil like any other, or connect your own Shippo account to buy discounted shipping labels for many gifts at once and print them on one sheet.
How do you stop people from claiming the gift twice?
One gift per registration, order number, email and shipping address. You can also cap how many of each gift are given away. With Amazon connected, the order number must be a real order of yours that includes the product.
Can I use the card for warranty registration?
Yes. The Warranty card template invites buyers to register so their purchase is on file for fast claims. One important rule from U.S. law: don't say registration is required for the warranty to apply; offer it as the easy way to get service. See Product registration cards.
Cards, design and testing
What do the insert cards look like?
Kartzo creates print-ready cards for you with your logo, brand colour and QR code: Classic, Free gift, Free download, Free course, Warranty and Big QR templates, light, dark or brand-colour backgrounds, and your logo inside the QR code. Sizes 4×6 in, 3.5×5 in and business card, as a PDF with bleed for any print shop.
Can I use my own card design?
Yes. Download just the QR code as a high-resolution image and place it in your own design.
Can I test which offer works best?
Yes, with Experiments. A card test compares two or three printed cards (for example "free gift" vs "free warranty") by registrations per unit packed. A page test shows each buyer version A or B of the page at random. Kartzo tells you in plain words when a winner is clear and what each version costs per registration.
Can I change the page after the cards are printed?
Yes. The QR code never changes, but everything behind it does: words, gift, video, questions. That's the advantage over printing a URL to a fixed page.
Pricing and plans
How much does Kartzo cost?
Solo: $7 per product per month. Brand: $20 per month for up to 5 products, then $5 per extra product, with your own logo and colours. Studio: $50 per month for unlimited products. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no card needed. See pricing.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 14 days with Brand features and up to 10 products. No card needed. If you choose a plan during the trial, you keep the remaining free days.
What happens to my cards if I stop paying?
Printed cards keep working for buyers, so nothing in your packages breaks. You need an active plan to see new registrations and feedback in your dashboard.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans are monthly through Stripe and you can cancel from the billing page at any time.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes. Share your link: your friend gets their first paid month free, and you get 20% off for 3 months for each friend who becomes a paying customer.
Data and privacy
Who owns the buyer data?
You do. Registrations, emails and feedback collected through your cards belong to your business. Buyers are only added to your email list if they tick the box.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Registrations and gift claims export to CSV for your email tool or spreadsheet.
Where is the data stored?
On Cloudflare's infrastructure. Payments are handled by Stripe; Kartzo never sees card numbers. Connection keys for Shopify, Shippo and Amazon are stored encrypted.
